The Command staff and crew of the USS Columbus would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who came to our Christmas party and donated toys to the Firefighters for kids Toy Drive.
Thanks to this effort a total of 367 toys were collected and will be distributed by the Firefighters to kids in need throughout our area. In addition to the USS Columbus, members were on hand from the USS Maximillian, the USS Asgard, the IKV Kem'Pec , Star Base Columbus and a representative from the Columbus Division of Fire to accept the toys we collected. It was a great feeling to know that our efforts will help many children in our area to have a brighter Christmas.
