Members of the USS Columbus will represent the League of Planets at the 58th Annual Columbus International Festival this weekend, November 2 & 3 at Vets Memorial. The League of Planets is a fictional organization that is the precursor to the United Federation of Planets, well known in the Star Trek Universe, much as the League of Nations preceded the United Nations. The group does this to raise awareness about NASA and space exploration and to help promote peace not just here on Earth, but throughout the entire Galaxy.
