Annual toy Drive Underway

It's that time of year again!  The USS Columbus is working to collect Toys and Monetary Donations to benefit the Firefighters 4 Kids Toy Drive, sponsored by The Columbus Firefighters and NBC Channel 4.  Collecting toys for this cause has been an annual tradition of the USS Columbus for the last 10 years, providing families struggling to make ends meet with toys to put under the tree at Christmastime.  Toward Holiday time you'll see firefighters with their boots collecting money on street corners throughout the city.   While this campaign does raise thousands of dollars for the cause, the need is always greater than the supply of toys available.

The USS Columbus presents the toys local firefighters at the annual Holiday Party which will be held this year on Saturday, December 6 at 6:00 PM at Star Base Columbus.

If you would like to help there are several ways to do so:

Donations of new, unwrapped toys are collected at our monthly meetings  from now until December 6, 2014.   Stop by Star Base Columbus - they have kindly allowed us to have a toy drop-off box in their store.   If you're unable to get to a drop-off location donations can be sent via check.

Make checks payable to: USS Columbus and please write "Toy Drive" in the memo section and mail to :  4456 Collingdale Rd.  Columbus, OH 43231
* 100% of the donations received are used to buy toys

Please help us to make a child's Christmas dream come true.

Thanks for your support.
