Toys, toys and MORE TOYS!

Columbus Firefighter dressed as Santa

Two young members rest after helping to load the toys!

Members of the USS Columbus with some assistance from other local Star Trek clubs collected about 280 toys for the Steve Harper Memorial Toy Drive.....the toys were donated to the Columbus Firefighters 4 Kids Toy drive.  The club followed the annual tradition of inviting the Fire Dept. to their holiday party and loading the squad truck with bags of toys.  These are distributed to underprivileged children in Central Ohio during the holidays.

November 2016

In November 2016 members of the USS Columbus participated at the Columbus, OH International Festival.  Billing themselves as the League of Planets, the precursor to the United Federation of Planets, the club's booth had displays about Star Trek and our past and current NASA space programs.

USS Columbus in Mourning

It is with great sadness that the USS Columbus announces the loss of another crew member, Anna Price, who went on to the Final Frontier on Friday, June 17.  We offer our heartfelt condolences to her husband Doug and her family.

Dedication

The Out of this World Festival, an annual event hosted by Starbase Columbus was dedicated  posthumously in this year of 2016 to Vice Admiral Steve Harper, former commanding officer of the USS Columbus for his tireless efforts to collect toys each year for the Firefighters 4 Kids Toy Drive.
The festival is a fun, family friendly event that is held each year in May.
